I'm fortunate to have more family in town this week, as my cousin Sandra flew in from Atlanta on Monday evening. I should say a few words about Sandy. She's a little younger than my parents and as a kid I was always closer to her daughter Melissa, who's my age. Although I'd known Sandy for as long as I can remember, we'd been out of touch. But last summer I re-established contact with her, Melissa and her husband James for the first time in many years. As adults we've become great friends, and as an astrology master she's become my spiritual advisor of sorts. When she provided me with a map analysis last year, I was surprised to find that some of my planetary karma and dharma lines were similar to those of John Lennon! While I could never describe my life as creatively dharmic or as tragically karmic as John's, it was good to know that we're at least cosmically connected in a way. When I told her about my involvement in Lennon, she was ecstatic. She had seen The Beatles perform in Houston in 1965 and was probably the only teenager in the house who wasn't screaming (her nature is to be calm amidst pandemonium).

So when Sandy came to see the show I introduced her to the other players, and Julie and Rona joined us for dinner before Wednesday's evening show. I must say they left the restaurant slightly changed from when they arrived. Sandy has a way of doing that. In addition to her warmth and wisdom, her vibe is very powerful indeed. Julie told me later that her performance was greatly enhanced as a result of meeting her. She was grateful. I was proud.

Wednesday night was special for me, also. I was privileged to meet David Leaf, a well-respected writer, producer and director responsible for, among many things, an outstanding Brian Wilson documentary I saw last year. [I went straight to his website and bought stuff.] He saw the show and loved it. With David backstage was Jeffery Sine, one of our producers, who told me he's been reading this blog! How 'bout that?...

....He's been WHAT??!!!
