Good Day.
Its been a busy few months. Ive been playing more gigs and juggling more musicians than ever before.
Things started speeding up at the end of October, when, in addition to two projects (my own and songwriter Shane Bartells), I took on a third as sound man for my sister. This got me a ticket overseas to explore Germany, Switzerland and France. Somehow that led to a train ride under the English Channel, and when I woke up I was in London, drinking lagers with Nick and Alan at a pub.
I have no idea how I got there.
Now Im back in Austin, rehearsing with all the aforementioned (except Nick and Alan) and compiling songs for the next recording project. Meanwhile, Solitarium is being pressed by Castle Music in London and awaiting release on their When! label on February 14, 2K. Those of you within wave range of BBC G.L.R. can hear tracks from Solitarium in light rotation if you say please. Ill be back there soon.
But first we all have to deal with the business of celebrating the holidays and closing the lid on the twentieth century (and hopefully the lid on Pandoras box). I dont have much to say about it except this:
In the twentieth century we learned that we could do anything. But in the end, most of us didnt really feel like it.
Happy Holidays!
