Like Nashville, Austin has amazing pop talent like this guy. Real solid singer-songwriter power pop but without the retro trappings. He’s got enough of an identity to be a major contender. Sure some of it rings with a Beatle or Rundgren familiarity, but the production is modern, and that’s a good thing. We need more contemporary dudes who incorporate the Fab Four into modern songcraft. Cool.
